Cheryl Cole may have spoken her first sensible words since joining Girls Aloud. Today she spoke out against the X Factor dropping their entry age to 14.

“At that age, you’re very delicate. You are going through your teenage years which are the craziest of your life,” Cheryl told The Sun newspaper. “You don’t quite know if you’re coming or going or who you are.

“To have someone criticise you when you’re that young is very hard. Give them a few years, a chance to finish school and they’ll be ready.”

Well said Cheryl! (I can’t believe I actually said that!)
