Cheryl Cole was spotted with American superstar Usher in LA last week.

The former X Factor judge is currently in the US, working on her third solo album with Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am and perhaps, judging by their meeting, she may be hoping for a collaboration with the R&B superstar also.

The famous pair were spotted in Hollywood’s ‘Sunset Marquis’ and an onlooker reports that her music career was definitely being discussed.

A source told The Daily Star:

“Cheryl was sat deep in conversation with a man at the bar in her usual hotel, the Sunset Marquis in Hollywood. We couldn’t believe it when he turned around and it was Usher. “The pair were locked in chats for a long while, making notes and talking about music.”

However, maybe there is more to the meeting that meets the eye. Last year, when she was just newly separated from her cheating husband Asdhley Cole, Usher confessed that he had a bit of a crush on Cheryl and wanted to take her on a date.

An onlooker last week said that not only did Cole pose for a cosy photo with the singer but he was also reportedly putting the moves on her and the pair looked very close.

The source continued: “Both looked really comfortable in each other’s company but appeared to be working hard on a secret project. Usher was surrounded by his entourage while perched at the terrace bar but he soon ditched his crew to go and sit in private with Cheryl.”

“He was flirting with her but this is Usher – he’s known for being a smooth ladies’ man.”

We think Usher would be a much better match for Cheryl than love rat Ashley. Wouldn’t you agree?
