Cheryl Cole has fallen foul of an over zealous fan in Belfast this week.

The Sun reports that the X Factor judge was posing for photos with some fans at a city centre hotel, when a hysterical teenager tried to kiss her and cut her lip with her brace.

An onlooker said: “This girl was hysterical and totally obsessed with Cheryl. She lunged at her and her brace must have nicked her lip. Cheryl looked absolutely terrified. The band’s security manager said Cheryl had been hurt and was shaking.”

The fan was reported to have been yelling ‘I kissed Cheryl, I kissed Cheryl’ before security guards pushed her out of the way and took Cole into the hotel.

A representative for Girls Aloud said: “Cheryl was left shaken. As a result the girls have been more cautious greeting fans.”
