Cheryl Cole has been seen out in public for the first time since being hospitalised with malaria.

The X Factor judge stepped out to buy a coffee from Starbucks yesterday, though the whole trip was completely managed and her driver stayed with her every step of the way.

Leaving her house for only fifteen minutes, Cheryl looked frailer than usual in her jeans and white jumper, however she remained upbeat and chatted with the manager and staff of the coffee joint, before leaving with chilled Frappuccino.

An onlooker told The Sun:

“Her driver was at her side every step of the way.

“She spoke to the manager and the staff, who seemed to know her pretty well.

“She only spent a few minutes inside. While there she signed an Aids petition and put money in a Help for Heroes charity tin.”

Cheryl’s spokesperson added:

“She will not be going back to work for a few weeks, but everyone is pleased she’s up and about.”
