Cheryl Cole says the Queen wanted to sit next to her but she wants to date Prince Harry
Cheryl Cole has insisted that she did not engineer things, so that she stood next to the Queen on stage at the Diamond Jubilee.
The former X Factor judge performed with Gary Barlow at the special concert earlier this week and when the royal family took to the stage at the end of the night, the Queen stood right beside Cole as Prince Charles thanked the organisers.
During an appearance on the Graham Norton show, which she taped this week, the ‘Call My Name’ hitmaker said she didn’t push her way into the shot, but that the monarch chose to stand near her.
She explained:
“I did not know I was on camera until I came off stage.
“They stood us in line and then they brought the Queen out, but she wanted to stand next to me.”
Cheryl is currently single and hasn’t been in a serious relationship, since her marriage to Ashley Cole broke down in 2010. However, she would like to be a royal some day herself and told the funnyman:
“I’d consider Harry.”
Check out the video of Cheryl and Gary performing at the Diamond Jubilee below. We have a massively negative response from readers when we first posted the clip on Tuesday.
Have a listen and see if you think Chez is as bad as people are saying.
