Cheryl Cole has offered some consolation to The X Factor finalists who have been cut down by Simon Cowell, as she claims that the music mogul is often rude to her too!

The ’3 Words’ singer joked that Simon secretly fancies her but tries to hide it by being ignorant.

She told The Daily Star:

“Simon is really not going the right way about it!

“He called me up after he’d watched the show back and said: ‘I’m just calling you because I’ve just watched your VT and I don’t know what you were wearing but you looked terrible and your personality was like a snail.’ It’s not just contestants. He’s rude to me!”

But Cheryl added: “He’s a great guy. As much as it gets tense on the show and he can be really annoying, he’s kind and truthful and I really respect him.”
