Cheryl Cole has reportedly called time on her marriage to Ashley Cole, by telling his mum that she won’t be taking him back.

Cheryl is said to have had a friendly chat with her mother in law Sue last weekend, in which she made it clear that her marriage to Ashley is definitely over.

A source told The Mirror: “Sue has been trying to act as intermediary between Cheryl and Ashley and doing her best to help them patch up their differences. She loves Cheryl and obviously hates seeing her son hurt.

“Cheryl has been going through so much pain she initially didn’t want to take any calls – even from her mother-in-law.

“But they finally spoke and Cheryl made clear there is no going back. The marriage is over and she can’t take him back.

“They spoke calmly and fondly to one another and there was certainly no screaming or shouting.

“When Sue passed on the message, Ashley was gutted. The wedding ring came off. He’s cocked up big-time. Now he needs to face up to his actions.”
