Cheryl Cole is reportedly considering dropping her married name when she releases her new album later this year.

Either marketing herself as Cheryl Tweedy or following in the footsteps of Madonna with no last name at all, the X Factor judge is said to be determined not to be known as Mrs Cole.

A music industry source told The Mirror: “Now shes made the decision her marriage to Ashley is over Cheryl wants to move on. This name change is the final thing she feels she has to do before a divorce starts moving forwards. She’s numb about the marriage ending but knows she needs to pick herself up. Throwing herself into work is how shes coping. ”

Cheryl is currently supporting The Black Eyed Peas on tour and is said to be enjoying the amorous attention of star will.i.am.
