X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is reportedly NOT dating American dancer Derek Hough, but doesn’t mind people speculating about their relationship because it means that she can start dating secretly.

Derek stayed with Cheryl last month, when he was in the UK for her Black Eyed Peas gig and his step father reportedly told newspapers that he was ‘in love’ with the singer. However Cheryl has reportedly told her pals:

“I’m not his type of girl.”

A pal told The News Of The World:

“She says they’re close but there’s no romantic connection.

“But she doesn’t care if people think something is happening because it gives her the opportunity to explore her options.

“Cheryl is ready to move on and start dating again.”

We’re glad to hear it. After all her estranged husband is said to be dating a former lapdancer.
