Cheryl Cole wants to sample Rowetta’s song but doesn’t want her on stage

Former X Factor contestant and Happy Mondays singer Rowetta, is furious with Cheryl Cole after the Girls Aloud star asked to use her vocals for an upcoming award show – but told her she didn’t want her to appear on stage.

Cole will be sampling Rowetta’s dancefloor hit “Be” for a live performance of her single “Fight for This Love” at the upcoming BRIT Awards.

However, during the performance Cheryl will be asking another woman to mime along with Rowetta’s vocals.

“Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an ‘anonymous face’. Rowetta told The Sun.

“I said I’m happy to perform but they don’t want that. Imagine if I wanted to sample Cheryl and got someone to mime her voice. That would never be allowed.”
