There’s been a good deal of excitement in the media of late over reports that former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is dating dancer Tre Holloway.

So far, the couple have been spotted enjoying three dates – so clearly they’re as good as married – and were photographed partying together at Cheryl’s birthday bash in LA earlier this year.

And yesterday, Tre’s mum Shirley most likely embarrassed her son to death by revealing that he hasn’t had many girlfriends, and adding that she’s worried that divorcee Cheryl may break his heart.

However, what mummy Holloway didn’t spill is that her son’s name is actually Walter, and, arguably understandably, he chose the Tre moniker for himself, believing it to be substantially cooler than being called Walter, or Wally…

Apparently, Tre is a shortened version of his pseudonym though, which started out as Trenasty.

As to Walter’s living arrangements, while his new squeeze Cheryl lives in a variety of mansions all over the globe, his pied-à-terre is reportedly a tiny house in Los Angeles that he shares with housemate Tony Testa.

Apropos of Tony, he reckons that he has no clue who Cheryl is!

He told the Sun, “This is the first I’ve heard about it. I don’t even know who Cheryl Cole is.”
