X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole had to rush straight from the studios to the hospital on Saturday night after finding out that her brother in law had been involved in a car crash.

Cheryl’s husband, Ashley found out earlier on Saturday that his brother had been in a car crash but didn’t want to disturb X Factor filming. So he rushed to the hospital and waited until the show was over until he alerted Cheryl to the news.

A friend told The Mirror: "Ashley was devastated and wanted to be at his brother’s side straight away. He didn’t ant to upset Cheryl before the live show so waited until he broke the news."
