According to today’s Daily Star, X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is set to tell husband Ashley that she wants a divorce following the latest allegations of his infidelity.

The paper reports that Cheryl was “shaken uncontrollably” when she heard about the latest in a long line of sex-cheat allegations about Ashley.

A friend of Cheryl’s is quoted as saying, “He’s pushed her to the limit. She’ll never be able to forgive Ashley for his stupidity.

“She’s in bits and feels totally humiliated..

“It’s the hardest decision Cheryl’s ever made because she loves Ashley, but he just keeps letting her down.

“The last few days she’s been keeping herself busy concentrating on her BRITs performance. Now that’s over she’ll deal with him and sort out her future.”

The article states that Cheryl has decided to call time on the rocky marriage after discussions with her mum Joan and close friend Simon Cowell. It also reports that Simon has offered Cheryl the use of his mansion in Barbados while she recovers from the revelations.

It seems that Cheryl is now seeking the services of a good divorce lawyer and is said to be considering using Fiona Shackleton who represented both Sir Paul McCartney and Madonna in their respective divorces.

Ashley’s lawyer, Graham Shear, declined to comment on the speculation that proceedings were imminent.
