Christine Bleakley will replace Dermot O’Leary on The X Factor 2011
Christine Bleakley is reportedly being lined up to replace Dermot O’Leary as the presenter of the X Factor.
As part of her £4 million ITV deal, which will also see her front breakfast TV show Daybreak with her old pal Adrian Chiles, The Daily Mail reports that the Northern Irish star will step into O’Leary’s shoes in 2011.
O’Leary isn’t crying though, word is he’ll be making a full time move to America, hopefully taking over as presenter on Simon Cowell’s new US X Factor show.
A senior television source told the Mail; ‘Dermot has made it clear that he would like to move to America full time. ‘
‘His girlfriend Dee Kopang is already working as a TV producer in Los Angeles, so he would like to try his luck in Hollywood. He is already spending the majority of his time out there with Dee, so it would make sense.’
However last night, a source close to O’Leary insisted: ‘Dermot loves the X Factor and has no plans to leave. If he did get the X Factor USA job, he would travel between London and LA, just like Simon Cowell, who will appear on both versions.’
