Dancing on Ice: Jedward twins could star on the show, but must compete separately as John & Edward!
It’s been reported today that former X Factor finalists Jedward are set to compete against each other on the new series of Dancing on Ice, which kicks off in January.
And according to the Sun, the boys have been told that – if they are chosen to star in the show – they must compete using their real names, John and Edward Grimes, as they’ll be independent from each other for the first time ever!
The boys did of course star in Celebrity Big Brother, but as the one entity that is Jedward.
The paper reports that the boys have been practising at a London ice rink, “in the hope of impressing programme producers.”
A show insider said, “Producers are really keen on Jedward taking part as they think they will bring a lot of energy — not to mention madness — to the ice…
“The boys put in some practice at the Lee Valley ice rink in east London before they jetted off to Singapore to promote their new album.
“Producers will have to decide whether they want them or not.”

This would bring in a shed load more viewers for DOI.
Well,that’s my mum’s favourite show ruined.
It would be great if they could take it seriously and not mess about. If they can do that I think they could be very good at it. I’d still watch anyway and it could bring in some younger viewers.My grandchildren range from 14 to 22 and I think they might watch it for the first time.
i’d love it if they were in the show … last year’s was a bit boring .. John and Edward would bring the life back to it. They are very competitive and hardworking .. plus they are strong and full of energy … so they would give it a good go!
They take everything they do very seriously even when TV producers ask them to act the fool and they are very physically fit and very competitive. If they decide to do the show i will definitely be watching it. I know they will put maximum effort in and that’s all we can ask for. I will look forward to seeing them in the show – if they decide to do it!
