Dannii Minogue revealed this week that she would love to make her comeback on british TV and it seems she may be making some progress in this area of her career.

It was reported that the Australian star was asked to return to The X Factor earlier this year, with Simon Cowell believing that she could help return the show to the top of the ratings chart, just because viewers would tune in to see her boobs.

Well we’re not sure if that’s the case and we don’t think we’d watch the talent competition to see anyone’s cleavage but it seems that despite turning down Cowell’s generous offer, Dannii is in talks with ITV bosses about returning to the channel.

The mum of one was in London this week to launch the Autumn / Winter 2012 range of her fashion line Project D and insiders told The Daily Mail that while in the capital city, Minogue also made time to catch up with Peter Fincham, ITV’s director of Television.

An insider revealed: “Dannii was a significant element in the huge success of The X Factor. Viewers love her. Simon and Peter realise that now, but so does Dannii, so she holds all the cards.”

It was reported earlier this year that while Cowell had offered Dannii £2 million to swoop in and save the X Factor, she was demanding a whopping £5 million to relocate to the UK for the winter.

Perhaps she is rethinking her demands as during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine earlier this week, Minogue confessed:

“I would love to be back on TV again, the support that I’ve had has been incredible. It was such a big ride for me being invited onto a Saturday night show and I feel like a lot of people lived that with me and I’d love to come back and do something new.”

“I think the landscape of TV has changed incredibly in the last twleve months so it is thinking about what’s going to happen next. I want to do something that’s really good and that I’m passionate about. It’s been nice and I’ve kept in contact with my X Factor contestants that I’ve mentored and it was a big part of my life.”

However, ITV may have a bit of competition on their hands, as insiders claim she is also being wooed by BBC bosses, who are keen to make the most of her annoyance with Cowell.

The source added: “The BBC have also expressed an interest in working with her. But she’s also met independent production companies to discuss working on her own TV projects. She wants to be back on screen in the UK.”
