Dannii Minogue was reportedly terrified, when a plane carrying herself and her baby son was forced to abort its landing this week.

The X Factor judge was flying into Cairns in Queensland Australia, when her Qantas jet aborted it’s landing and sped upwards into the sky.

‘We had the most terrible landing,’ a friend of Minogue told Metro. ‘We were coming down to land and suddenly shot straight back up again.

‘There was too much cloud and the pilot could not see the runway. It was all very scary.’

Sources have reported that the incident may have been caused by Queensland airport upgrading its electronic landing system. The revamp has forced pilots to disable their auto-pilot and land manually for the past few weeks.

Thankfully Dannii and two-month-old Ethan Smith did eventually land safely, allowing the new mum to progress to the judges houses venue and begin choosing between her warbling boys.
