X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue has claimed that she was bullied by the British press during her time on Aussie soap, Home and Away.

She said that the jibes about her weight made her consider anorexia, and the only thing that saved her was watching a friend suffer with the disorder.

“I got a lot of stick from the UK press, saying I was fat,” Dannii told Thomas Cook Travel Magazine. “I look back on pictures and I was certainly bigger than I am now, but I felt good about myself, so I found it a bit weird that other people had a problem with it.

“A friend at school had anorexia, was in hospital and almost died. Seeing that made me think, ‘I don’t want that to happen to me’.”
