Dannii Minogue has paid tribute to Simon Cowell in a recent newspaper interview, saying that working with him has opened doors for her all over the world.

“Just being on his shows, sitting next to him, and learning from him has opened up a world of opportunities for me, particularly in America,” Minogue told Perth Now.

“I’ve had a few trips there the past 12 months and normally you have to explain who you are and what you do. But as soon as you say: ‘I work with Simon on The X Factor,’ they get it.”

“It feels like it’s fast-tracking me to I don’t know. I didn’t have any plan to come on and start judging – it wasn’t something I was going after,” Minogue continued. “I got the call, and I’m not sure where it will lead.

“But I have a feeling maybe one day I’ll go into production and write my own show ideas, so this is just the most crazy ‘money can’t buy experience’ to be around these people and learn from them.”
