Dannii Minogue worried about Australia birth plans

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has admitted that she is worried the current airspace closure may mean that she can’t give birth in her home country of Australia.

The star is thought to be 26 weeks pregnant and though expecting mums can fly until they are 35 weeks gone, many airlines demand a letter authorising the trip from a doctor. As the UK airpspace has been closed since last Thursday and looks set to remain that way for the foreseeable future, the singer is worried that she may not get home in time.

When a fan asked on Dannii via Twitter whether she’d give birth in Australia, she responded: “Yes, depending on flights. There may be more volcanic ash!”

Her boyfriend Kris Smith then tweeted: “Wonder if this ash will clear by the time I have to fly?”

Dannii also hinted that her negotiations for this year’s X Factor series may not be going as well as she may have hoped. Sources have suggested that Simon Cowell wants to slash Dannii’s pay because she will miss the initial audition stages, alluding to the rumours on her Twitter page today she said:

“I’m not the kind of girl to sling dirt, but I think there is a lot that needs explaining! ”
