Danyl Johnson has been eliminated from X Factor 2009.

Although Dan has been the favourite for the boot all week, we thought he may have turned things around last night. Apparently not as tonight the 27 year old teacher crashed out of the contest at the last hurdle.

Danyl was gracious in his defeat and said:

‘I might have gone out in the semi-final, but I’ve gone out to some of the best people I’ve ever met.’

His mentor Simon added: ‘I said to him before we went on stage there is nothing I would have changed, nothing more he could have done, he’s gone out on high.

‘He’s been a graceful loser and it’s been a pleasure working with him.’

That leaves Stacey Solomon, Olly Murs and Joe McElderry for next week’s final show. Who do you want to win? Leave your comments below.
