X Factor singing sensation, Danyl Johnson, is to appear on the American’s Today Show later this week.

Danyl wowed on Saturday night’s show when he belted out the classic track, A Little Help From MY Friends. Simon Cowell declared his performance as the best first audition he had ever seen.

Now Danyl has become the first X Factor star to receive an invite in this way.

An ITV source admitted to The Sun: “Not even we expected things to move this quickly.”

A source close to the star told The Daily Mail:

‘The Today Show contacted him because they saw his audition and think he’s a real star. They want him on this week – and he thinks it’s an amazing opportunity.’

Danyl has also become quite the internet sensation since appearing on the show. The Reading school teacher has had more than one million hits on his YouTube videos in the ensuing two days.
