X Factor judge Cheryl Cole sent a clear message out to her soon to be ex-husband Ashley last night, as she flew in blonde heartthrob Derek Hough to perform with her at London’s O2 Arena.

Dancing With The Stars professional Derek was the man who comforted Cheryl, when she first split from Ashley back in February. He took her out for intimate dinners, lunches and movie trips in a bid to take her mind off her emotional turmoil and a source told The Mirror that Cheryl has turned to him once more, now that she is truly finished with her husband.

They said:

“If there was ever a clearer statement that she’s over her ex, this is it. Derek has always been very supportive of Cheryl.”

“He has been a real rock for her during the trauma of the last few months and a real breath of fresh air to be around.

“She is so pleased he has found time in his busy schedule to be there for her.”

The pair took to the stage last night and performed a steamy routine, in which Cheryl strips down to the skimpiest of outfits, you can see the whole thing in the video below.
