Dermot O’Leary has admitted that he hasn’t been “blown away” by this years Big Brother show.

The former Big Brother’s Little Brother host told Heat magazine that while he still feels protective of the show, he no longer has the time to watch it on a daily basis.

O’Leary said: “I know roughly who they are. You have to bear in mind that I’m not anti-BB. I still feel very defensive over it. I’ve always said it was the making of me and there are some people who work on it who I really care about.

“But I don’t know if I’ve fallen out of love with it. I was there for seven years and I just can’t keep watching it. I don’t have enough time to invest in it.”

He added: “Every know and then, it will be on and I’ll watch it and be like, ‘Who’s that?’ But I think it’s about casting and I haven’t been blown away by the cast this year.

“That’s not to say I don’t miss presenting [BBLB], because I do. I really miss doing live TV every day and the people I worked with. It felt very emotional at the time because as a job it’s the most enjoyable thing.”
