Harry Styles is known to be a bit of ladies man but insiders said he had put all that behind him when he well and truly fell for Taylor Swift recently. However, it’s now been claimed that their breakup may have been caused by his need for frequent sex and her unwillingness to put out.

Although Tay Tay has had a whole string of celebrity boyfriends over the past few years, it’s said that the pop princess is keen to keep a hold of her clean cut image and that it was this prudishness that turned the One Direction singer off in the end.

A source close to the pair reportedly told RadarOnline:

““Having a clean and wholesome reputation is super important to Taylor”"

“Taylor is so concerned that the public will think she’s a w***e because she dates around, that she doesn’t put out.”

“What she doesn’t get is that the guys keep dumping her because she’s being a prude.”

The insider says that Haz found it hard to cope with Swifty’s apparent disinterest in him sexually and their differing approach to all things bedroom was the cause of their final argument and their breakup.

They continued:

“Harry found Swift a little sexually uninterested. While it was clear she obviously had a thing for Harry, she didn’t want to put out as often as he would’ve liked. Harry is a young boy, with ladies throwing themselves at him and has had a string of relationships with older women.”

“It’s no secret he’s sexually active and is enjoying his fame at the moment. But Taylor just wasn’t up for it as much as he is. They were sexually incompatible.”

It certainly was a flash in the pan romance which got hot and heavy for a while – the pair were almost inseparable for a month – but then seemed to end very quickly last week. Maybe there is some truth in the rumours and it could explain why Taylor keeps getting dumped by all her famous boyfriends.

Swift revealed yesterday that she’s heading back into the studio and as she is the undisputed queen of break up songs, we can’t wait to hear what she’s going to come up with so soon after her split from Haz.

Maybe she’ll explain it all in her new music.

She certainly doesn’t seem all that upset to be single again and she took to Twitter on Wednesday night, after picking up a People’s Choice Award and tweeted her fans saying:

“Sitting here with my new People’s Choice award and Chinese food take out, watching Law and Order. Thank you for a beautiful night:)”
