Did you enjoy Britney’s X Factor appearance?
So, everybody, what’d you make of Britney Spears’ performance on X Factor? I reckon she was outclassed by Miley Cyrus to be honest.
Don’t get me wrong, she looked hella sexy. But it was like watching a performance with the fast forward button turned on. She buzzed about the stage with her posse of clowns like she was trying to do a 3 minute tour of the studio and then get the hell out of there again.
I was trying to draw a few comparisons to her VMAs appearance last year. It wasn’t confidence this year, but the dance routine was pants, other than her skittering around the stage at lightning speed. I’m sure the cleaning crew are regretting not strapping a couple of cloths to her feet to polish the stage.
The best bit was when Dermot tried to interview her onstage:
Dermott: You’ve been watching from the sidelines tonight. Do you have a message for our contestants?
Britney [though gleaming teeth]: Yeah. Keep on doing it.
She never looked more like a fembot than she did in that moment. Preprogrammed response, not particularly relevant to the question. She might as well have said “Dermot, I honestly don’t give a toss.”
But didn’t she look good everybody? Despite the slightly frantic performance, I hope she’s as healed on the inside as she is on the outside.
Update: James Corden on Xtra Factor reminded me that Britney was miming – ooops I forgot to mention that. But he also said that “she came on here and gave a half-arsed performance, then drove off for a midnight appearance at Heaven.” Brilliant. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

She may have looked great, but hey any girl can look great and dance….She was on a live singing tv show and she mimes!!! Like hello…maybe the advise she could of offered was can you help me to perform and actually sing!!!

She was so not interested in being there, was much better when Kylie was on X factor, at least she sang and is so down to earth.
Absolute rubbish. Mimed, so obviously no respect for the programme considering the contestants all sing live week in week out.
When Dermott asked what she thought of the standard of the competition she said some shit like – ” Oh yah, I’m really enjoying myself, it’s really awesome being here in London”
What has that got do do with the question? How come she didn’t spend time with the contestants like all other guest stars do?
Get her on the first plane back. Over time, Alex will be so much bigger and so much better than her, just wait and see.
Although Brit didn’t sing live, it looked like she was having a good time. It takes guts to get up on the stage, after all that’s happened to her, and sing in front of a load of people. I’m pleased that (maybe) she’s back and sorted! Her new Album ‘Circus’ looks and sounds really good, and I love her song ‘Womanizer’!

On another note though, and I know I’m completely changing how I’m sounding about her, but I was told that she’d been quite difficult. Like she didn’t want to be there. Rumor has it that she’d requested that none of the contestants spoke to her and she also apparently they didn’t think that she’d show up. Putting that aside though, I still think her performance was good.
I bet that she was payed the price of a Stealth Bomber to MIME and all she wanted for the circus that`s with her, If it was me I would have told her that “Your dressing room is a TENT at the side of the studio” and if it`s not to your liking then we have a good Pikey Site near by.
