Dolly Parton won’t do X Factor USA for Simon Cowell! She’s all about The Voice…

Dolly Parton has admitted that she has no inclination to work with Simon Cowell.

The ’9-5′ hitmaker revealed that she has been approached to judge, coach and mentor on a whole variety of singing show however, she wants nothing much to do with the British X Factor boss and has repeatedly turned down his offers.

Dolly revealed that she was asked to join the lineup of American Idol – which Simon worked on for almost a decade – and was then offered a spot on his new show The X Factor USA.

However, she’s not at all interested and told In Touch magazine:

“I’ve been asked to do American Idol and The X Factor almost every time there’s a new season.”

The busty blonde said that the only show she would consider becoming involved with is The Voice, which currently features Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Ce Lo Green as coaches.

She added:

“You don’t have to judge that much — and I hesitate to judge people.”

Dolly doesn’t think much of the showbiz industry as a whole and tweeted:

“Show business is a money-making joke. And I’ve just always liked telling jokes. :)”

She seems keen to share her wealth of experience though and added:

“I was told everything I know, so why not share it with others?”

Would you like to see Dolly on The Voice? Maybe she could replace Christina? Who would even notice the difference? Leave your comments below….

  1. Cynthia says:

Well if she doesn’t want to be on X Factor, we don’t want to see her on it anyway. The voice is boring, maybe she’ll make it a bit more boring.

  2. Cheryl says:

Dolly is a great artist and songwriter (Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You is just one example). The Voice is the top rated (and class act) of vocal competition shows.

Dolly would fit perfectly. Xtina and CeeLoo will be on tour and, therefore, not be on the 2013 shows. Mark Burnett, what are you waiting for! Blake and Dolly together would be a wow!
