The bitchy bespectacled one, Elton John has slammed ITV’s X Factor and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing during a live concert. I am guessing he’s not a big reality TV fan then!

Elton was playing the O2 Arena on Saturday night during the shows live final and declared to the crowd:

“I am surprised so many of you are here. I thought people would stay in to watch Strictly and X Factor. I’d rather have my privates bitten by an Alsatian than watch those shows.”

The comments weren’t exactly a shock as two years ago Sir Elton said: “The X Factor is a cruise ship show. I’ve got nothing against the people who go on – good luck to them. But I hate how they’re treated.

“They’re given an awful sense of stardom and pressure straight away but they’re only successful until the next series.

“The record companies sell a lot of records and those people are gone. It’s f***ing cruel.”
