You may remember Emma Chawner from last years X Factor as the 18 year old blonde girl who showed up wearing the dress her father made. Emma attempted to sing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ for the XF judges, but faced a stinging criticism from Simon Cowell over her babyish singing and awful outift.

The Sun has reported that Emma intends to return for the new series of the ITV talent show, and has already passed the first round of auditions in Manchester.

The hairdressing student, from Ramsbottom in Lancashire, is so sure that Simon was wrong about her that she has taken singing lessons since last years audition and feels that she is ready to face the judges once more.

“I’ve done lots of singing since the show. I’ve been on Radio One with Atomic Kitten,” she told The Sun.
