Eton Road…..Where Has That Record Deal Gone?
I came across this clip today on Youtube, and I must say the Eton Road boys still put on a good show. A few of their harmonies are a bit iffy, but who sings live these days anyway?
I couldn’t help wonder though, while watching them in this tiny restaurant, it was hardly the stadium tours that Louis Walsh as good as promised on last years X Factor show.
He was sure that Eton Road would be the next BIG thing, and even promised them a lucrative record deal……I haven’t heard their album yet, in fact there isn’t one. Could Louis have been talking S***E again?

Well, the story being the “no record deal” business is that the boys and Louis went their different ways quite some time ago and they’ve been working with someone else over the last few months and are scheduled to release a single in September (which hints to an album for Christmas). We don’t know the specific ins and outs of what went on with Louis but the majority of fans think it’s best they’re not with him (see Shayne Ward’s latest efforts for reference!). We certainly don’t want them to be yet another bland boyband… Apparently Louis and the boys are still on good terms…
So they did this tiny restaurant but they will also be supporting Girls Aloud in Plymouth on 11 August with 10,000+ people watching them…
Danny said that they wanted to do it “their own way” and that the boys “wouldn’t let us down”, so we just have to be patient because we know they’re talented and our patience will be rewarded…
