It has been claimed that Tulisa Contostavlos and Fazer split earlier this month, because he issued her with a marriage ultimatum.

The N-Dubz stars had been dating for a year and a half – though in secret for much of that time – and up until the end of last year had appeared incredibly loved up and secure.

However, just a few weeks ago the pair went their separate ways after they argued constantly during a luxury holiday and today it has been claimed that the cause of the rows was Fazer’s need to get serious.

Insiders say that the rapper and producer demanded that Tulisa settle down with him, commit to marriage and starting a family and that he also wanted her to leave The X Factor.

However, she was suspicious of his relationship with Chloe Green and wasn’t sure she could trust him enough to plan a wedding.

A friend told Closer magazine that Fazer said: ‘I want marriage and a baby and it seems all you want is fame!’

The insider added:

‘He told her if she wasn’t prepared to commit to starting a family, she couldn’t tell him who he could or couldn’t speak to.’

A source told heat magazine that he also wanted her to rethink her career and explained:

‘He told her that he thinks she should quit the X Factor, and that she’d changed. It really cut through Tulisa and she started to cry.’

However at the recent National Television Awards Tulisa revealed that she wants to return to The X Factor is Simon Cowell will have her. She is also forging ahead with plans for her music career and is planning the release of her first solo single within the next few months.

It has been claimed that she may have to postpone her debut album though, as Fazer was heavily involved in it’s production and they cannot work together at the moment.
