First X Factor 2012 live shows will NOT clash with Strictly Come Dancing!
It seems like BBC bosses and ITV producers are playing nice this year and have decided to make it easy for viewers to watch both of their favourite TV shows.
Progarmming chedules have been confirmed for the first week in October and it’ll be a big week for reality TV fans, with both Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor moving into their live rounds.
Bigwigs must have out their heads together to avoid a clash, for the first week at least and on Saturday 6th October one show leads seamlessly into the other, with no overlaps.
In recent years viewers have been forced to choose between the shows, with The X Factor losing out in 2011, when many people failed to switch over as their programme began.
Strictly Come Dancing will move on from it’s launch show and move into live rounds on Friday 5th October, with the second batch of celebrities taking to the dance floor on the 6th.
Friday’s show will air between 9pm and 10pm and the next night, the show will air between 6.30 pm and 7pm.
There will be no eliminations in week one, so therefore no results show.
The X Factor live shows also kick off that weekend, with their first extravaganza airing between 8pm and 10.20pm…..it’s going to be a long one!
The first results show will air on ITV1 on Sunday, October 8th at 8PM and will feature performances from former winner Leona Lewis and Nicole Scherzinger’s pal Ne-Yo.
We have to admit, we are more than a little bit excited about the weekend TV viewing ahead…it feels like the winter is finally here.
