X Factor winner Joe McElderry has received a dinner invitation from George Michael.

Joe first met George when the pair performed a duet on last week’s X factor final.

Michael reportedly sent a handwritten note to McElderry, inviting him, his mum, his mentor Cheryl Cole and her husband Ashley for a meal.

A source told The Daily Mirror: “He’s given Joe his address and asked him to RSVP when he gets a spare second.

“Joe’s mum is a massive George fan and can’t believe it. She says she will be too excited to speak on the night.”
