The X Factor final plans were reportedly “in chaos” yesterday amid fears that Beyonce may not appear in tonight’s final.

The star was due to perform a duet with Alexandra Burke for a performance of her hit ‘Listen’ however according to The Mirror, Beyonce’s publicity managers have vetoed the performance because they have no idea who Alexandra is and have never heard her sing.

An X Factor source told the newspaper, “Simon is working hard to get Beyonce to take part. She is warming to the idea but until she’s on stage he will not relax. It could go wrong any minute.

“Alex is desperate to appear with Beyonce but doesn’t want to get too excited in case it doesn’t happen.”

Simon is said to be “pulling out all the stops” including putting Beyonce on a private jet to fly her to the studio and ordering production staff not to approach or speak to her unless she speaks to them first.

According to The Mirror, Simon upset the singer four years ago when he said, “She’s not sexy, she hasn’t got a great body and she’s not a great singer.”

Oh dear… open mouth, insert foot.

It seems that we’ll just have to wait until the show actually goes on air to find out if Beyonce will appear at all and furthermore to see if she does duet with Alexandra.
