Dannii Minogue is reportedly considering quitting the X Factor after this year’s series ends. The Australian star is said to be keen to settle down and start a family with boyfriend Kris Smith.

An X Factor source told The Mirror: “Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it is highly likely Dannii won’t be on the panel next year and Simon is already thinking about a replacement.”

Simon Cowell is said to be considering Spice Girl Mel B for the job. The source added:

“He thinks Mel could be brilliant as she is outspoken, down-to-earth and won’t be afraid to hold back. There were times during the current series that he felt things were a bit boring and he is certain sparks will fly with her on board. It will also be interesting to see whether she and Cheryl Cole will gel with each other – or whether it will be handbags at dawn. He thinks it could make compulsive viewing. Louis Walsh is also a huge champion of hers and has been campaigning to get her on the show.”

Also a possibility is Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland. The source claimed:

“Kelly is not as big in the UK as she is in America but then neither was Piers Morgan when he went over there. She has done some TV in the US and she is a natural – plus she knows exactly what she is talking about.”
