Is it a case of unlucky week five for X Factor females?
It would seem that the fifth week of an X Factor series, is a particularly dangerous time for any talented female contestants taking part.
Last night we saw young Lucie Jones getting voted off after Simon voted to save John and Edward Grimes. The backlash today has been enormous, just read the fans comments on any of our posts on the decision. However if you cast your minds back this is not the first time such a controversial eviction has occurred.
Back in 2005, it was week five which saw Maria Lawson lose her place to the abominable Conway Sisters. The media backlash against Louis Walsh who voted to save them, almost caused him to leave the show…..if only he had followed through!
Last year it was Laura White who left in the fifth week, despite having at one point being tipped to win the show by bookies and experts alike.
We know that thousands of X Factor auditionees read Unreality TV, so next year female singers beware week five! Choose your song and outfit wisely, cry A LOT, snog a judge….anything at all to grab you some much needed votes. You don’t want to fall foul of the week five female curse.

Simon is an idiot, he said on Xtra factor that he went to deadlock because he expected Lucie to have more votes. So technically he was saying that he thought Lucie was the better singer but he was too cowardly to make a decision and vote the twins off, yet he is made a awful lot of money to do this. No Simon you wanted to get rid of the act that was competition to you and you know that all Dannii’s act were your competition and you have used the same cowardly sneaky way of doing it for the last 2 weeks. I just keep telling myself KARMA.

It’s also interesting how the X-FACTOR factory only likes to support the winners as long as they make money, and it has to be a lot of money! It seems you have to be as big as LEONA to maintain their interest. I predict this years winner will follow LEON JACKSON’s path. Last year definitely had better acts.
And as for LAURA WHITE, she has done great to get a hit this week without any of the shows support. In fact, is she not the only person to leave the competition so early that has managed a hit? Usually that luxury falls only on the top 3 from X Factor. Top 3 if you’re lucky!!
Its because louie and Simon are in agreement now that john and edward could potentially make them both alot of money as they appeal to the younger generation when if you look at acts like the wiggles can make an absolute fortune, this is not about simon depleting his competition at all, its about money . Dont forget that Simon and Louie work together outside of the show and have partnership record deals with alot of current artists.
Lucy was not going to make Simon money so he got rid of her , Simple.
The music industry is not about if your a nice person or if your talented , its about if you have the potential to make money!!
