Is X Factor 2009 Simon Cowell’s Last Series?

Simon Cowell - X Factor

Simon Cowell is getting weary. Not surprising really when you consider all he has on his plate. He sits on the judging panel of three major TV shows (X Factor, American Idol and Britain’s Got Talent), two of which can easily take up six months each per year. Simon admitted to The Sun last weekend that he is considering reducing his workload and that may mean leaving one of his hit talent shows.

Simon told the newspaper: “Last year was tough and I really felt it around about the end of the year. There’s a lot of pressure that comes with making the shows, running the record label and running the TV production company.

“I got to the point where I was doing Idol, finishing auditions, getting room service at 10pm and then working for another six or seven hours on the British stuff.

“You do that week after week, month after month and it takes its toll on you.”

“I have got to find a better balance — being on three shows is difficult.

“It’s a nice position to be in, but we may have to adapt a few things.”

He added: “It’s easy to start feeling sorry for yourself, but I got lucky over the last few years — the shows have done well, it does pay well and I’m not going to start bleating on.

“But there are only so many hours in the day. Eventually something may have to give.”

x factor is boring unless they bring sharon osbourne to back to xfactor

I prefer X-Factor without Sharon Osbourne, she changed in the last two series and felt the programme was about her which it wasn’t. I think last years X-Factor was one of the best. Personally though X-Factor would not be the same without Simon and I’m not sure it would work, it is Simons comments that they all want to hear and pay attention to, he is the one that says it as it is, tells the truth and they appreciate this. No Simon Cowell, no X-Factor.
