ITV Insist There Were No Phone Irregularities!
ITV have released a statement saying that there were “no irregularities” in the X Factor voting system on Saturday night.
Although OFCOM have received more than one thousand complaints from Rhydian fans claiming that they couldn’t get through when they tried to vote on Saturday night, ITV have stated:
“We know there are many Rhydian fans who are disappointed that he did not win, but the simple fact is that Leon won The X Factor fair and square.” They added that in the end Leon won “by a full 10% of the vote”.
The statement continued: “Phone lines were monitored through the night and there were no irregularities on the voting lines. Call levels for the final were very high and depending on phone operators some callers may have experienced an engaged tone or network busy message. A tiny number of mobile customers did experience problems getting through because of high call volumes but viewers can be reassured that this would absolutely not have affected the outcome of the show. As all numbers go through to the same lines and vote platform it is impossible for there to be any bias in favour of or against a particular contestant.”
Any comments people?

This percentage seems strange, after Same Difference went who by the way I could not get through to vote for the difference in votes was 1% yet they are saying Leon won by 10% that is a rather LARGE jump in a short space of time, and quite a few thousand votes.

What a joke.Even if the vote was not fixed, there was definitely a fault experineced on lines of several thousands who voted for Rhydian on saturday night. There was no engaged tone.A message told us that there was a fault on the line. My view is, that he received an unprecedented surge of votes which crashed the system preventing them being counted.I demand a revote, which would put an end to the debate and clearly show him as the winner and world class international star.

David Thompson, you are my hero! The final was so fixed, it might have been superglue! So many people had different messages including:
The number you have dialled has not been recognised.
You have not been charged for this call.
Dead sounds.
Engaged tone.
And yours!
How ITV can say the vote wasn’t fixed is beyond me. I think that vote by phone programmes have had their day!
RHYDIAN AM BYTH!
(That means Rhydian for ever in Welsh)!

ITV have confirmed that Leon was ahead of Rhydian week after week so there was no fix.
Move on.

I guess you guys will insist that there were irregularities with the Christmas No 1 result too then?
Congratulations Leon, a VERY well deserved win, you are undeniably destined to go far.
