After a day of criticisms from Rhydian fans, ITV have spoken out and denied that there were any voting problems during Saturday night’s X factor show.

Many Rhydian supporters have claimed that they called in excess of ten times, yet failed to get through to register their votes even once.

The fiasco has even resulted in five Welsh radio stations banning Leon Jackson’s debut single from their playlist.

However, a spokesman for the show insisted:

“We had millions of votes cast and there were no problems with the voting. Some Virgin customers took several efforts due to the high call volume, but that was all. In any huge phone event like this, a few people will have to keep trying.”
