Hip hop star Jay Z has offered to take X Factor judge Cheryl Cole under his wing and help her crack the American music charts.

Cheryl’s debut solo album has just gone platinum in the UK and she is now talking collaborations with Mr Beyonce, in order to help her promote it stateside.

A source told The Mirror: “Cheryl is the biggest fan of Jay-Z and Beyonce. To hear the feeling is mutual has totally made her year.

“She never imagined her album would have taken off like this.

“To get Jay-Z’s support is beyond her wildest dreams.”
