Jennifer Lopez & Marc Antony or Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon for X Factor America?
X Factor boss Simon Cowell is reportedly considering hiring a couple for the judging panel of his new American X Factor show and names in the frame so far are Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Antony plus Mariah Carey and her partner Nick Cannon.
Other stars rumoured to be on his shortlist are Christina Aguilera, Jamie Foxx (who we saw mentoring on this week’s American Idol), former Idol judge Paula Abdul and X Factor UK star Cheryl Cole.
A source told The Mirror: “Simon needs diversity on the panel if the US X Factor is going to be a big smash.”
“Paula Abdul seems like a given which leaves three slots.
“He thinks J.Lo or her hubby would be fantastic additions so it could be bad news for Cheryl.”
X Factor is due to launch in The States in autumn 2011.
