JLS and One Direction to duet on X Factor 2011 final!
This weekend’s X Factor final shows will be chock full of treats and we have just learned that one of them will be a collaboration of complete boyband goodness!
Former contestants JLS and One Direction – possibly two of the most successful musical acts to ever emerge from the ITV show – will join forces and instead of performing with one of the finalists as celebrities have done in previous years, they will duet with each other.
The groups will sing a mashup of two of their own hit singles What Makes You Beautiful and She Makes Me Wanna.
One Direction released What Makes Your Beautiful on 11 September 2011 and broke all previous pre-order sales records for Sony Music. The song claimed the top spot in the UK singles and became the fastest-selling single of the year with first week sales of 153,965 copies.
JLS also topped the charts with She Makes Me Wanna, when they released it as the first single from their third album ‘Jukebox,’ on 22 July 2011.
The veteran boyband have duetted on an X Factor final before, taking to the stage with their pal Alexandra Burke in 2009, to perform a mashup of ‘Everybody In Love’ and ‘Bad Boys.’
It was confirmed earlier today that the X Factor 2011 finalists will each be duetting with their mentors on Saturday night and we have all their song choices here. Also, former auditionee Goldie Cheung will be back with a few other familiar faces for her last X Factor performance.
Westlife revealed yesterday that they will make an appearance on Sunday night’s results show and also on the lineup are Leona Lewis, Coldplay and Michael Buble.
How do you think the lineup is shaping up? Are you looking forward to a JLS and One D combo? Leave your comments below.
