JLS sign £1 million publishing deal

Former X Factor runners up JLS, have signed a £1million contract, which allows EMI Publishing the rights to their original songs.
Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes and Jonathan ‘JB’ Gill will pocket £250,000 each after selling their 32% share of the songwriting credits from their debut album.
‘The UK has been crying out for a new boy band,’ EMI boss Guy Moot tells The Sun.
‘They are so talented. It’s great to be associated with success like this and we’re glad to be given the chance to develop them as songwriters.
‘We’ll put them with some of our international names and some of our new names.’
