Former X Factor contestants JLS have showed their softer side by making time for a visit to cancer patients this week.

The ‘Beat Again’ singers visited University College London Hospital yesterday to meet sick teenagers.

Band member Aston Merrygold told The Daily Star: “It’s nice to be in a position to do something like this.”

He added: “We’ve had a really lovely afternoon. It’s just great to put a smile on people’s faces.”

The philanthropic band will also perform at the forthcoming Teenage Cancer Trust concert, at London’s Royal Albert on March 28th.
