John and Edward Grime’s Dad says: ‘My boys aren’t brats!’

The father of X Factor twins, John and Edward Grimes has insisted that his sons aren’t cocky and arrogant and insists that they are very family focused boys.
Live shows haven’t even started yet and already the boys have been on the receiving end of a huge amount of criticism and a Facebook hate campaign.
In an interview with The Mirror, John senior said:
“The boys aren’t brats and certainly not arrogant. They are much more down to earth than people think. They are inseparable and would do anything for each other.
“Even when they were babies they had an intuition about each other. Even now they share a bedroom in our home.
“We gave them each their own room and after a few days they wanted to move back in together again. They are best of mates and that will help them on the show.
“I remember once they were sleeping in cots next to each other and Jonathan started screaming really loudly.
“We ran into the room and it was because Edward had pulled a blanket over his head while he was sleeping. He was obviously trying to alert us.
“They always seem to know what’s going on in the other’s mind without even having to say anything.”
John also added that he is happy that it will be fellow Irish man Louis Walsh looking after his boys on the show; He said:
“Louis has been so nice and he’s really put us at ease. I know he will do everything he can do give the boys a good chance.
“Naturally we are all very excited and quite nervous but I’m sure the boys will do well.
“They’ve had a bit of a hard time in the press but they are enjoying every second of their experience and they will make the most out of it.”
“They are very positive people. I’ve been talking to them today and they are being worked very hard already.
“All the contestants are rehearsing around the clock and preparing for the first show. It’s a tough schedule.
“Hopefully people watching on the show will get to see the real side of them and they will warm to them.
“They are good-natured boys who love life. I think their fun side will shine through and they will start to get a better reaction – maybe even from Simon!”
I seriously doubt it!
