John and Edward Grimes: Ronan Keating says one of them can’t sing!
Boyzone star Ronan Keating has revealed that only John or Edward Grimes can actually sing.
The brothers will appear on tonight’s X Factor show, where Ronan will comment on their lack of chemistry, causing them to break down in tears. Making matters worse, today he told The Sun:
“There’s something about those guys – they’ve got the right energy and feel really pop.
“And one of them can sing – I don’t know which one but one of them can.”
That’s a backhanded compliment if ever I heard one!

I’m surprised that he thinks either can sing lol. Personally
I like Ronan Keating, I like his singing, he seems a lovely
person and you never hear any scandal about him, don’t see
him falling out of clubs drunk. He is a devoted family man
and does a lot of work for the charity he set up in memory
of his mum. Ronan has always worked hard in Boyzone and as a
solo singer, gives a lot of time free to his charity work so
I do not see how you can possibly call him a scrounger he
probably works harder than you do.
So keating says one of the Grimes cant sing-and himself?What makes this waster a “judge”?
What makes him a “judge” erm I’m guessing 3 multi-platinum selling albums with Boyzone and 3 as a solo artist???

topic on here. Also what makes you such a miserable negative
person who spends so much time watching programmes you hate
and talking about so called celebrities you hate. Most
people do not bother to watch programmes they hate so much
they find something else to do. You sound like you are very
jealous of other peoples fame and life’s the way you write.
Try thinking positive sometimes you might find life a lot
nicer.
I actually thought that the twins were quite good tonight, alot better than other groups. I think all the bad publicity has gotten to them. It must be hard to be 17 and everything is negative. in my own opinion I heard good harmonies with them tonight.
In my opinion, these two have the drive to get somewhere and constantly putting them down is not gonna help them at all!! they do have a serious attitude problem and they need to sort that out but i think, with a bit of work they can do very well. So why not give these kids a bit of encouragement?????
Its really unfair how people are constantly putting these two down. They can sing, they’re entertaining and they have that watchable factor. I like them because we havnt seen anything like them since the 90′s and to be honest… its refreshing to see an act like them.
i think the reason people are putting them down is because they really are untalented and its a shame they took somebody elses slot in the show, its only the fact that they are young ,good looking and irish that Louis loves them so much, if you remember boyzones first embarrasing t.v appearance none of them could sing and they were all really bad at dancing, yet they become successful. Hence the reason Louis keeps saying “they have potential” Personally i think that they have a bad attitude and that they will be kicked off by the public within the first couple of weeks , so let them have theyre 15 minutes while they can.
I can’t help but have a laugh. Only one if them can sing so sayeth Louis and Ronan. Ireland can’t be so desperate to support an act that can’t sing at all.
There’s been plenty of decent music and singers out of Ireland but these two will not be on that list.
Time to check the facebook poll and every other forum and those who think they are the best thing since sliced bread will be disappointed they are in the minority.

it does not take Ronan Keating to figure out that neither of them can sing. Use your ears and it will become very clear how talentless they are, and how Louis Walsh cannot recognise talented people. This decision is actually insulting to Britain

If they can you certainly couldn’t tell from last nights performance, I could hardly hear them over the backing singers other than the solo (spoken) parts!
i like Ronan Keating but i dont think either of them are that good, they can sing some parts in some songs but not as good as thee others FACT! ha.
and yes i agree with bigphil you couldnt hear them lastnight cause the background singers AND music other than the spoken parts! stupidity!!
I love the boys. They make me laugh. Would like to see them dye their hair dark, think they’d really suit it. They are totally marketable and I wish them well.
ive spoken to edward, and he is a really nice guy, not cocky at all. and why cant people just be nice and supportive, you know, they are following their dream, and they dont deserve people being negative towards them. just give them a break, please.

Give them a break they are nice funny guys who deserve a chance. You dont even know them and you are alrady judging them. Its unfair you have never met them. john + edward are the business like, dey’v got the looks and the voice. so wat if theyre not the best. im from dublin meself and i dont only like them coz theyr from ireland like. theyv got talent in my eyes, cant you just accept the fact that they are going to be in the competition 4 a while like. they deserve a chance!

With reference to the rest of your commentary I know people will say that you are being negative but I have to say this I am in agreement with most of your commentary.
Sometimes I wonder when some relly talented and gifted people will come through and last the test of time. On the subject of salaries even those legends of film screen and musical who have lasted the test of time could never hope to have amassed the fortunes some of todays Z listers get.

These two are amazing! (maybe no so much in singing as they are in personality) But the point is they CAN sing,so what if they arn’t as strong as the other 10. But the point is they CAN sing! Why don’t all you stupid people stop being so judgmental, They might have been cocky on they’re audition but isn’t simon cocky? Do you not think they were trying to give him a run for his money? I mean I personally would listen to them all day if they brought out a single. They are amazing, to overcome all you immature pathetic haters, is amazing! Those of you who diss them almost certainly wouldn’t have the nerve to even get up and sing in a karaoke pub in front of 2 people, let alone audition for a TV show in front of 4 very touch judges, an arena full of screaming people and millions of people watching at home. So until you get some backbone, shut up, get a life and if you don’t like John and Edward, here’s an easy solution – don’t listen to them?! Turn the channel over. Get out the room. Make a coffee. Novel idea, really, but less irritating than slating them publicly.
