Former G4 singer, Jonathan Ansell, has tipped four piece boyband JLS to win this years X Factor competition.

Jonathan was a runner up in the 2004 series as part of his group G4 and with his insider knowledge of the show he reckons that JLS stand a good chance of walking away with the Christmas number one.

BANG Showbiz quote Ansell as saying: "I think there are some fantastic people there and I think there are some not so good people there as well. I think the public are voting the right people off each week. It’s sad that Girlband have gone but I just don’t think they had the qualities that some of the other contestants have. I’m sure there are some amazing people who will do incredibly well.

"I think JLS have got something really incredible about them. They are more polished and much more clever with their arrangements than any of the other group than we have ever had on ‘The X Factor’."

Jonathan also revealed that he is a big fan of new judge, Cheryl Cole:

"I think Cheryl is doing incredibly. I think people were worried there wouldn’t be as much of a dynamic because Sharon had left. While Sharon was fantastic in her year and the year after, I think Cheryl has completely and adequately replaced her on the panel.

"I think she is coming across fantastically well, and I love how she stands up for herself. She has incredibly constructive criticism and comments, and I think that’s maybe what the panel has been lacking in the past."
