Kelly Rowland won’t return to X Factor 2012 – Simon Cowell looks for new judge!
Kelly Rowland has reportedly decided not to return to The X Factor later this year.
The former Destinys Child star joined the ITV show as a judge in May last year and spent one series on the panel alongside Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh. However insiders say she doesn’t want to return for a second run.
It has been claimed that while the brunette beauty enjoyed the mentoring side to her role, she was surprised by the huge amount of attention and press focus that surrounded the show and likes to live her life on a slightly less public level.
An insider told The Mirror that she won’t be back, explaining:
“She enjoyed her time on the programme but was taken aback by the circus surrounding it.
“From his side, Simon Cowell felt that Kelly had got off to a really strong start but slightly faded towards the latter half of the series.
“He is already on the look-out for fresh talent.”
Simon will return to Britain’s Got Talent on a full time basis this year, but it is expected that he will once again leave The X Factor in the capable hands of Gary Barlow, while he concentrates on his American version.

another made up story then. I read that negotiations for the new series havent even started yet. Hope Kelly returns to x factor. She was the best judge there.

Is exactly what I feel, during the auditions, she was my favourite judge of all, she was the star, as soon as it got to the live shows, Tulisa stole the spotlight and became my new favourite judge. Tulisa was the star of X factor 2011
Don’t agree with that at all. Kelly was a fantastic judge and I for one hope she returns to x factor. Sure I read that talks haven’t even started yet on who is or who isn’t returning to the show. Its usually around april/may before anything is announced.
Kelly was a terrible judge couldn’t give her full attention to her acts and was only interested in promoting herself,really pleased she is not coming back,talks have been going on for some time and auditions start next month
totally disagree with you. kelly was a fantastic judge and she was always in constant contact with her acts whether she was there or not. ps: it wasnt her fault that her album was due out right in the middle of x factor, her record label decided when her album would be released. As for talks, they havent even started yet, so get your facts right. No firm decisions are made until around april/may time regarding x factor 2012.

I have no idea whether Kelly was a good judge or not only being privy to what was seen on TV. What went on in the background, who knows? My feeling is Kelly’s heart wasn’t in it and after a time her mind wasn’t on the job and because of that she didn’t show the loyalty she could have done to her acts. Somehow, I don’t think she enjoyed it. To be good at something you have to be absolutely committed and it has to be absolutely what you want to do. It is of no detriment to Kelly if she doesn’t return. It just means that she has realized that it is not what she wants to do. She is far better doing that than faking it.
Kelly was a fantastic judge. Those who think Tulisa stole the show, that must be the joke of the year. Tulisa is the reason why I watched Strictly come dancing instead of X-factor. Also, why is it that 8 years on, the first black judge on X-factor was treated like shit by the media especially? Just a question. She was good, put aside all the hate campaign that was going on against her, over nothing. Lets forget it, all judges were good. If we stop being biased and singling out certain people, then the show would be more enjoyable, and maybe we can end up supporting/ liking your favourie Tulisa although she is the worst among the four.
An issue is being brought into this here that hasn’t entered anyone’s mind. That of skin colour. If Kelly didn’t connect with some people, it has nothing to do with her being black. We are all equal and any comments directed against Kelly is purely for the same reason people directed comments against Gary Barlow,Tulisa and Louis. They just don’t like their judging methods. To suggest or imply otherwise is foolish. We shouldn’t have to hold back negative criticism because someone is black, just the same as we shouldn’t give negative criticism because someone is black. Kelly was given the same treatment as everyone else. That is equality.
Kelly was never given the same treatment as the other judges. She went to Middlesborough with Amelia and false reports that she stayed for less than 10 minutes, refused to eat at Amelia’s house. The next thing, she is in Amelia’s kitchen eating some chicken and nothing is said. When she was with contestants until 01:00 hrs, nothing is reported positive. When she attends Misha’s performance at G-A-Y, she is favouring Misha. When she attends Sophie Habbibis’ performance at the same place, nothing positive is said. When Tulisa attends her contestants’ gigs at the same place, she is being very supportive and she cares. When Kelly gives Little Mix advice, she is medling. When Tulisa gives Sophie, Amelia advice, she cares about contestants. When Tulisa comes to the Xfactor house for an afternoon, all cameras are on her as if she is there 24/7, although she obviously had timne with her family. When Kelly is away for a day (not when she she phoned sick), but she went to France on a Monday evening after work and was back by Wednesday afternoon, however its reported that she has abandoned her acts. When Tulisa shouts at Gary and calls him ‘mental’, that is fine. When Kelly has some banter with Louis, she is not respecting. When Tulisa and Louis bully Misha on national tv over issues that all the people involved denied, all contestants involved denied being bullied, but Tulisa is an angel and welldone for bringing the bully in light and being honest. Did l say honest? If she is honest and cares about her contestants, then why did she not challenge Kitty who racially abusedthat boy from the Risks because there were witnesses to the event. I can go on and on. Tulisa has admited to stealing, even recently, not to mention her bullying Misha, but she was still treated as an angel. When Amelia came back to the show, Kelly is jealous and does not want Amelia to win the show because she wanted Misha to win. Real?

Good on Kelly if she goes. She was too good for the show when she obviously wasn’t appreciated. If Tulisa comes back l won’t be watching the show again. Garry was by far the best, Tulisa the worst followed by Louis!
If Kelly goes then I will no longer watch the show again, she was the best judge last year by a mile, it’s only the stupid Tulisa fans who don’t like Kelly.
