Kylie Minogue & Cheryl Cole with Girls Aloud snub X Factor 2012 for Strictly Come Dancing 2012 charity special

BBC bosses are reportedly getting their pick of acts to perform on their shows this year and it’s been reported that both Kylie Minogue and pop group Girls Aloud will be taking to the Strictly Come Dancing stage later this year.

The dance competition is already trouncing the X Factor in the ratings battle each Saturday night and things are set to move up a notch when they air a huge charity special in Wembley Arena next month.

The contestants and special celebrity performers will put on a huge show for 6,500 audience members, as well as the approximately ten million people at home and insiders say Kylie and Cheryl’s decision to appear on the Beeb, is seen by insiders as a direct snub to The X Factor and it’s boss Simon Cowell.

Minogue is no big fan of the music mogul, after he pushed her sister off the ITV show last year then used her to grab headlines as part of a kiss and tell story in his recent biography.

The SYCO boss spilled the beans on their previously secret fling which kicked off back in 2008 and it was reported that Dannii was devastated by the betrayal, especially as the story broke at around the same time as she split form her baby daddy Kris Smith.

Meanwhile, Cheryl has her own problems with the star, after he fired her from The X Factor USA last year. She revealed in her autobiography that she ‘hated’ him after he dropped her from the show and explained:

“I hated him for losing faith in me, for not giving me a chance after everything we had been through. He knew my ability as a judge here in the UK yet he failed to stand by me.”

Cole will now perform with Strictly Come Dancing contestant and her best friend Kimberley Walsh, when Girls Aloud reform, reunite and stage their pop comeback on the Strictly stage.

We bet Cowell is kicking himself today!

Strictly returns tonight, for it’s second results show of the series and one of the celebrities will be following Johnny Ball out of the competition.

Over on ITV another hopeful will also leave. Ella Henderson topped our X Factor chart this week. Check out who we rated and slated from club classics week and where we ranked Louis’ boys here.
