Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has hit out at Irish teenagers John and Edward Grimes, insisting that they shouldn’t be on the ITV show.

Speaking on ‘GMTV’ today, the former Popstars winner said: “I’m a bit annoyed about John and Edward this year. They are great fun to watch but I just think its unfair they are taking a spot away from someone who is really talented.

“I know it’s a TV show, but it is still a singing competition at the end of the day.”

Kym admitted that she is backing Danyl Johnson to win the show.

“I want Danyl to win,” she added. “I think he is amazing.”
